How do I feel about this mascara?

I love love love this mascara. I try not to be a mascara snob, but for the last couple of years this has been the only thing that has touched my lashes. Until recently since I’ve been reviewing mascaras for my site. But up until then, this was my go-to mascara. and well, still is. All my life I always used whatever my mom bought, whatever was on sale, or whatever I found that looked pretty nifty at the drugstore.
Enter the year 2008. When I was relaxing in front of the TV, watching QVC, and I met 100% pure. Or Susie Wang that is.

I was sitting there and I kept thinking to myself. “What? Mascara and cosmetics, colored by fruits and vegetables? Seriously?”
I was hooked and I had to know what it was like. One of the best make up desisions I have ever made in my entire life.

As soon as I got my new mascara, I feel in love and I hadn’t even opened it yet. But this beautiful chrome tube, just screamed lovely-ness, and elegance at me.

I opened it. After noticing how spectacular the brush was I noticed the smell. And I don’t mean in a bad way. Each mascara shade is colored with fruit pigments. For example…blackberry is colored with blackberries and other various fruits so when you open it, it smells divine.

It lifted and seperated my lashes beautifully. I always just seemed to think my lashes were just kinda eh so so, but it was just because thats just how they were. Boy, was I wrong. Turns out when you stop subjecting your lashes to all kinds of nastiness, your lashes will come out to play. Over the next few weeks, my lashes grew, stopped breaking, and became more fuller and longer. If I could, I would use the word treatment in the name. Because it treated my abused lashes and helped them look nice again.

Best mascara by far that i’ve ever used, and also has a really nice brush, which is important. I’ll continue to buy and use it.

Comes in 4 shades.
Black Tea, Blackberry, Blueberry, and Chocolate.

I have normally used just the Black Tea, but curiousity got the best of me and I purchased blackberry last time, which I love. It is the most beautiful color!

This mascara can be purchased at several sites acrossed the web. The 2 that I would recommend the most, are through direct sales http://www.100percentpure.com

and through http://www.qvc.com

QVC is generally where I buy mine, strictly because they offer the duo set that runs about $30 for 2 tubes. Its just a more cost saver for way for me to buy it, plus I have a back up, in case I lose a tube or my daughter gets into it, in which case I will only be freaking out because she got into it, not because its unsafe. Because with all of 100 percent pures products they are all safe. They are the perfect make up for little girls to use. Here’s hoping that someday they will make a small palette with the little kids in mind.

Love It! 100% Pure Eucalyptus Seafoam Cleanser

10 May

So I love this stuff…..

I found it at a Foods for Living store by my sister in laws house. I had seen it before on QVC.com

It is a 3.5oz tube. So for the price, it is a little pricey. HOWEVER! A very little bit, goes a very long way. And with good quality products comes a higher price tag. But its worth it. So when I opened the tube it was very green. But its supposed to be.
With all the Kelp, Sea Lettuce, Spirulina), Green Tea, French Green Sea Clay, its going to be green.

Its for Acne Prone and Oily skin types.

It smells very minty, because of the peppermint oil. And feels tingly too. So if tingly face wash isn’t your thing then I don’t recommend. It isn’t very strong which is what I loved about it. I save this as either my “after a long day” wash, or my “wake up!” face wash. I like to leave it on for a minute too. Once you rub it on your face you get your hands wet and rub your face it. It lathers and foams up nicely, and leaves you with a nice clean feeling, and doesn’t dry my face out at all. I love that. Its hard to find face washes for Acne and especially Oily skin types that don’t dry the skin out. Big thumbs up on that! There are quite a few reviews on QVC that state that it cleared their acne or prevents new acne. It does the same for me, but what I really love is that it doesn’t break me out! Because almost everything does. I use this cleanser with their cruelty free cleansing brush and it really gets my face nice and clean! (will do seperate review on that later)

What I love love, did I mention LOVE?…about this brand, is the ingredients list. It reads as a who’s who of all kinds of good for you, yummy stuff. Not to mention, that I can read, pronounce, and even know what each thing is. And all their products are like this, not just the face wash.

Here is the Ingredients list:

Seaweeds (Kelp, Sea Lettuce, Spirulina), Green Tea, French Green Sea Clay, Saponified Coconut Oil, Vitamin C (ascorbyl palmitate), Vitamin E (a-tocopherol), Sea Buckthorn Oil, Rosehip Oil, Extracts of
Pomegranate, Grapefruit Seed and Rosemary, Essential Oils of Tea Tree, Eucalyptus and Peppermint, Extracts of Cinnamon, Thyme, Goldenseal and Oregano

Packaging says:

“Richly foaming, detoxifying blend of seaweeds, invigorating mint essential oils, skin softening rosehip oil and green tea washes away makeup and other impurities. 100% Pure products do not contain harsh detergents that strip and dehydrate, synthetic chemicals, chemical preservatives, artificial fragrances or any other toxins.”

Its $19 on their page. Its also available at QVC as well.

This is an awesome face wash, and I love it. I will def buy again when I am out.

There is also a Lavender Seafoam Cleanser for Acne Prone-Normal Skin types, have not tried it yet.

What do you think? Have it? Love it? Want it? Tried the lavender version?

I Want It! 100% Pure Purity Facial Cleanser

10 May

As it comes to no surprise to most people I am quite in love with 100% Pure. They make the BEST cosmetics that have ever touched my face. And the founder, she just couldn’t be any sweeter. I love watching her, whenever she is on QVC.
I love that she is not the “all high and mighty” type. She’s very low key. And what first attracted me to the brand wasn’t so much the concept as it was her sheer honesty.
I don’t like buying things from companies that either don’t care about their customers or what they are going to do with their profit. Think I will do a brand info shout out on another day. Because its much deserved. Anywho on to the topic,…face wash!

I only have one of the face washes from 100% pure but I do like it alot. I own the Eucalyptus Seafoam Cleanser..(review later!) I saw just the other day however that there is a new one out, and I am very on the edge of my seat with excitment 🙂

It is called Purity Facial Cleanser…hoping to not step on any copyright toes or such but am going to give you info thats straight up off their website because I don’t want you to miss any of it, and I have not yet been able to review and give you my 2cents…

So far I only see it on their website have not seen it on QVC’s website yet. But in all honesty I’d rather order straight from them anyways. they charge 1 shipping fee. where as QVC charges per item fees..which add up so painfully. And when I have my 100% Pure shopping hauls, it gets steep.

You can shop on their site at http://www.100percentpure.com
