Revolution Organics Freedom Glow Balm

13 Jul

I crave simplicity. I’m a little picky when it comes to my beauty routine. I’m all for beauty products that multi-task. The simpler, the quicker, the easier,….the better. HOWEVER…If the product claims to do even more the 1 thing, it better deliver. If it can do more then 2 things, then it better be spectacular. This balm is spectacular. Lately I’ve been trying to simplify my beauty routine and decided to limit myself to 5 items tops, and 5 minutes tops. This is one of my items. There will be more on this next week as I decided what I am choosing for my items, for my Multi-tasking Mama article. This for sure will be one of them.

The last couple days I’ve used very little make up, with very few products. And in my opinion my make up has never looked better. I used a spectacular tinted moisturizer ( you’ll find out about it, later this week!!), this glow balm, mascara, and of course my go to lately, Revolution Organics gloss in vibe. Peach/Coral is such a spectacular color for cosmetics!

Left Freedom Glow Balm in Sunkissed, On the right Revolution Organics Freedom gloss in Vibe. They complement each other perfectly!

Sunkissed is the most perfect shade of peach/coral. It was a nice alternative to a bronzed sunkissed glow, which I do love as well. It gave me a really nice healthy glow, its fantastic. I love that its not sticky. Its just a nice smooth balm, that blends beautifully into your skin and makes you look amazing.

My 6 year old loves it as well. I like knowing that shes getting her make up fix with out subjecting her to chemicals. Actually all of my make up is “green”, but you know what I mean. Its also simplified her dress up/put make up on me time. Instead of having to pull all my make up out, I whipped this stick out this morning, blended a little on her forehead, cheeks, lips, and a little on her eyes, and she was good to boogie and she was pretty happy about it. It was cute.

Called “The ultimate beauty multi-tasker”. It is an all-in-one, natural, on-the-go, easy to use formula, hydrating hint of tint, that is FREE of chemicals, synthetics, and artificial ingredients. This wonderfully magical balm contains only 100% pure, natural and organic ingredients.

ORGANIC OILS organic olive, coconut and jojoba oils to moisturize and soften
ORGANIC BEESWAX to protect and hydrate
ORGANIC ALOE VERA to condition and soothe
NATURAL PIGMENTS Pure mineral pigment for true natural color

It comes in 3 shades to mix and match, or match perfectly for different skin tones. I think anyone could use all of them, and be just fine, I know that I want all 3 🙂 All revolution organics products are concentrated, multi-tasking beauty products. All of which are free of chemicals, parabens, synthetics, artificial ingredients, and fillers, including water so each concentrated product delivers more so consumers use less.

I call it my 10 second makeover in a stick. I Love it, and I think you will to. It literally transformed me in 10 seconds, it was awesome!

You can find this balm and the other 2 color choices @ revolutionorganics.com

Revolution Organics Freedom Gloss

12 Jul

Ok so for all of you ladies to fully get what I’m about to say, know this…..
Normally….I hate lip gloss. To quote Melissa from HoneyBee Gardens, who has this same problem only with mascara. “like a fish drawn to shiny things”, when I go to the store I’m like a magnet that gets sucked to the lip gloss display. I don’t normally buy however, I’ve learned my lesson, a million times over. I have this weird love/hate relationship with it.

Usually with your standard lip glosses from the store you get a few situations, none of which are good. You get the thick, sticky, “tastes or smells AWFUL/disgusting”, tacky, slimy, slippery, doesn’t last, etc. You know what I’m talking. And you get it home, and you expect great things from it.

This is a fantastic lip gloss. But at $26, I wasn’t sure what to expect. For $26, I wanted it to move mountains or something. Don’t get me wrong. Its not about the price..I’m picky and even when I go to the store and see a lip gloss and its just some cover girl or what not and its $7. I’m like “for lip gloss?!” Thus turning me into a Lip Balm only kinda girl. So I normally don’t pay to awful much for lip balm. So now that I’ve made my statement about my past tense experience with lip gloss, let me retract my statement, and get straight to the point.

I now, LOOOOOOOVE! Lip gloss! Turns out I just needed to find “the” lip gloss.

Meet Revolution Organics Freedom Glosses……

Freedom Gloss in Vibe-Warm Peach

This is the color that I will be reviewing today. It looks different then in the tube. It is sheer, natural, and gives your lips the perfect look. I have been really happy with my experience with this gloss. It hasn’t left my sight since I got it. I eventually plan on owning all the colors. And here is why.

1- Concentrated. One swipe, is all it takes. You use very little.

2-Goes on easily, smoothly, and is the perfect blend of a gloss/almost balm.

3-It is not sticky or tacky.

4-It does not smell or taste bad.

5-Extremely long lasting! I put some on before bed. In the morning there was still a little left.

6-Does not leave that weird rubbery after effect feeling on your lips.

7- YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. Have you read the study that shows all the tubes of lipstick that a woman eats over a lifetime? It is soooooo gross. With all the clean and green ingredients in this gloss, I feel safe if I need to lick my lips.

Makes a perfect coordinating shade to go along with Revolution Organics Freedom Glow Balm in Sunkissed.

This is a really great gloss!!! I am so happy with it. I’m not sure if there is really a word for how spectacular this gloss is. I’ve never used anything like this before, my lips love it soooo much!!! I had a friend who has used it to, she says she loves it. I think it would make a great gift. Your girlfriends would love you forever.

Revolution Organics All-Over Body Balm

8 Jul

This is a fantastic balm! Ok, I know I proclaimed my love for badger balms, but I now also love this balm.

This portable, travel friendly stick of yummy-ness is a simple, and easy to use, on the go essential.
I love products like these for myself. But I also really, really like them for my kids. It instantly softens, smooths, and protects the skin. Its multi-purpose and enriched with organic butters and nourishing organic oils rich in vitamins A, B,C and E. With over 22 uses from your nose to your toes, use anywhere, anytime for the entire family.

These are some of the uses that Revolution Organics has posted on their site:

Smoothes rough knees
Relieves chapped lips
Softens lines
Feed parched nails
Conditions dry hands
Tames unruly eyebrows
Smoothes flyaway hair
Nourishes dry cuticles
Protects from weather exposure
Primes skin for makeup
Fights free radicals
Massage on belly to help prevent stretch marks
Improves skin texture
Combats flaking skin
Hair conditioning treatment
Seals in skin moisture
Adds instant moisture boost
And more…

I absolutely love the texture. It went on smooth, melts into your skin and penetrates without an oily finish.
It smells soooo delicious, I really love the smell.

With organic ingredients such as cocoa butter, shea butter, beeswax, olive oil, coconut oil, and apricot oil, it heals and moisturizers on the spot. With this in mind,….I immediately searched for my little man, and rubbed this on his cheeks and dry spots. He loved it. Normally I would not pay $28 for a balm. HOWEVER, yes, while I did have my brief frugalista moment, I’m over it. For something like this, I would probably reserve this for just my little man and all his dry spots even though, it has tons of uses. I will probably try this on my face tonight, as I use balms on my face at night instead of night creams. Another important factor to remember is you get what you pay for. This balm is totally worth $28, maybe even more. And I’d pay that when the time comes to replace it.

All revolution organics products are concentrated, multi-tasking beauty products. All of which are free of chemicals, parabens, synthetics, artificial ingredients, and fillers, including water so each concentrated product delivers more so consumers use less.

The Ugly Side of Beauty

27 Apr

This is pretty (or not so pretty) impactful!
(courtesy of Revolution Organics Facebook Page, add them!)

For my first entry I was honestly trying to decide which product to review first. But then I was on Facebook and saw this picture on Revolution Organics page.

Whether we are blind to it, choose to ignore it, accept it, or downright boycott it, this is the beauty industry in a nutshell.

The good news is there are companies out there like Revolution Organics, and CEO’s like Melissa Shabinsky and Alexandra Zanella, who take their products seriously from every angle.

Because after all, its not what you put in a product, its what you leave out.
