Now onto my review…
Liner first..
What I love about this eyeliner, aside from the fact that it does not hurt my eyes is that it defines my eyes and makes them pop, without screaming EYELINER! I’m not always the greatest at a straight line so I love that this defines my eye, but doesn’t look to over the top.
Mascara swatch on left, followed by eyeliner. The tip is very fine so you get a very fine line or if you were to wear it as traditional liner you could do a bolder line if you chose to. It comes in quite a few colors and I’m excited to try more in the future. I really like the wearability of it. Meaning that it not only doesn’t hurt my eyes, but it stays on the waterline where I put it. I’ve had 1 previous encounter with a “supposed” inner rim liner. Worst experience EVER. Not only did I get little flakes in my eyes, but it made my eyes all red, itchy and irritated. This does NONE of those things.
Now onto the Mascara:
I love love love this mascara. I will admit, normally I’m a bit of a mascara snob. The only thing thats touched my lashes in the last couple years is 100% Pure Lengthening and Conditioning mascara. I had bought this kit for a couple reasons, one the price and two the eyeliner, so the mascara was a bonus, but I was still definitely curious. I love how it lengthens, seperates, and gives them a boost. Or as tarte calls it “push up bra for your lashes.” I normally end up with mascara under my eyes at some point during the day, but not with this. Its quite bulletproof. Seriously. I actually had a hard time getting it off. But I found a great eye makeup remover and it took it off no problem. The also just came out with a waterproof version for all you beach babes out there. I’d love to see more colors. I love different colored mascaras.

I like this stuff I really do. Now whether or not I personally would classify it as a foundation, thats a different story. Exclusive to QVC they list it as a light-medium coverage foundation. I think that light is definitely the word. It wasn’t as thick as I was expecting/wanting. To me it seems more like a tinted moisturizer. But since its summer thats ok by me.

I like the clay in it. It has made my face less oily and it has given it better clarity. It lasts through the day, evens out my skintone, quickly and flawlessly. Love it, and would buy it again. I’m very excited to try the powder version as well.
As I said its exclusive to the Q, and they also include a foundation brush along with it, thats worth $29.
I got this in the Light, because Fair tends to usually be too porcelain. But I probably could very well wear either shade. It comes in 4 shades. Fair, Light, Medium, and Deep.

I love love love this palette. Unfortunately now that I own 1 tarte palette I want more. They are simply spectacular. I love Maureen’s vision of make-up needing to look good when you pull it out of your purse to use it. I love all the purple boxes that the products and I love all fashionable compacts. They are so cute!

This is no thin cheapy palette. This has a nice weight and thickness to it.
10 full size colors, a double ended brush, and a double ended eyeliner. This really is a spectacular deal. It costs $44. Now before you frugal-istas go wow thats alot for alot. First remember, you get what you pay for. You are getting good quality ingredients. And second. If you added up what it could cost for a double ended brush, a double ended eyeliner and 10 full size eyeshadows, I bet even with the cheap drugstore brands you’d have more into it then $44.
The colors are amazing. heavy pigmented and have great staying power.

Also includes a step by step card with 2 complete looks to play with. I chose the first look, which used all the colors in row one, the goldish colored eyeliner. It was hard to get the camera to get a good shot, but it looked fantastic.

I love everything about this kit. I was quite surprised with how smooth and creamy the eyeliners were. Not hard and rough on the eyes like most traditional wooden eyeliners are, and the colors are beautiful. All ten colors of eyeshadow are very nicely pigmented. I didn’t need alot when applying and it stayed all day. I was also extremely impressed with my deluxe size eyelid primer that came with my set, that was a really nice surprise I wasn’t expecting that at all. My oily eyelids loved it and made my color stay strong without any creasing all day. I will do a seperate review of the eye lid primer next week.
I have absolutely no complaints with this product. Its awesome. Owning one makes you want to own them all! 🙂

This is how I feel when I open my makeup drawer and see this primer. I had the privilege of trying this for the first time on Saturday, and I’ve been using it the last few days and its utterly AMAZING!!
I will add more pictures, my camera battery died and I wanted to share this with you all.
Not only is it my first experience with tarte’s primer, its my first primer experience EVER. Now I consider myself to be quite the makeup maven, makeup addict, makeup professional, etc. How makeup primer and I have never had a go-around.
Heres the story.
I have tried.. I won’t say used, I will say tried. And here’s why. I have tried 2 other primers before. And because I write unbiased-ly (is that a word?) and because I will not be reviewing those brands it doesn’t bother me at all to tell you what they were. I’ve tried the bare escentuals prime time, and smashbox photo finish primer.
Now. The reason I say tried is because after moisturizer, you put the primer on and let it dry then apply your makeup. In previous experiences, I never ever got to the makeup stage. My face felt like it was suffocating, it felt heavy, and disgusting. I disliked it very much, and had to wash my face and start over.
But that is in the past. Things have changed now that I have discovered tarte’s ReCreate™ silicone-free primer. Even right after I applied it, even though it hadn’t dried yet, I didn’t feel anything. And then it dried..and it was like the angels were singin from heaven. It wasn’t tacky, it wasn’t sticky. Even coming out it was a smooth almost lotion/gel type consistancy.
My face was smooth and soft and any pores or lines were diffused. It was the perfect canvas for make-up.
Which makes total sense. I’m a fanatic about make-up and make-up application. And I own over 50 make-up brushes and could tell you that each serves its own purpose. So when I’ve constantly heard everyone say, “you need a primer”. I didn’t get it. I mean I knew the benefits. But it was just not our time. Until now.
Once my make-up was done, I was so happy. Not only was everything smooth and flawless. But any concealer usage seemed to be cut in half. The concept of primer giving make-up something to grab a hold of is true. And by the end of the day, not only had I only touched my face up once, but my make-up looked the same. It was awesome.
I highly HIGHLY recommend….wait no…I’m not recommending this product. I’m telling you need this product. You will thank yourself when you see how amazing it is. It comes in a 1oz bottle and costs $32. Now before some of you frugal-istas freak, let me explain. It has this AWESOME package. It comes with an air tight type container that has a pump so it pumps it up from the bottom. Which means, no mess, no opening of the bottle and getting germs, air or bacteria in it, no waste-you’ll get everything out of the bottle. And to top it off you only need to use ONE squirt. ONE Squirt. thats it. You could use another half of a pump and go over any areas that may need extra help. But other then that, thats all you need. This bottle will last you a good long while.

I had multiple reasons for purchasing this set. I was in need of a bronzer badly (I stay out of the sun, and SPF it up big time when I’m out). I’ve been extremely intrigued with tarte and wanted to try it and, I Love Love Love Multiples sets. You know the ones. The ones that come with a bunch of little things, sometimes full sizes. Always comes with an awesome price tag, and its a great way to try out brands and products.
I really wasn’t sure what to expect. Sometimes you look at a picture online and sure, it might tell you what how many ounces it is. But sometimes thats still hard to figure out how big its gonna be.
I was pleasantly surprised with the size. Not just of the bronzer but with the brush as well. To be honest the brush was a little smaller then what I thought it was going to be. And I was like I don’t know how to use a little kabuki brush. But as soon as I used it I got the concept of it immediately and all was well. I love retractable brushes. They stay clean and they are so much more portable….AND! when you are zippering your makeup bag you don’t have to worry about getting your brush hairs stuck in the zipper. 😦 I recently had to retire a fav brush of mine due to an unfortunate incident, boo.
Amongst my other thoughts were, I’ve never really used a bronzer. I guess I’ve never had much luck with bronzer. I’ve always come across ones that are chalky, orange, to heavy of pigmentation, or to dark brown. This is the perfect shade. Perfect shimmery brown. Gives a the perfect, subtle glow for us fair girls. (or anyone else for that matter).
Its also been my go to product lately when I am short on time. Mascara, Lip Balm, Bronzer, and I’m done. Its the perfect multi-tasking product, just do a quick sweep of over your eyelids.

Went online this morning and discovered that my tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation is going to ship today. sweet! It got me all excited, and antsy to try it. In case you’ve been on vaca, or in another country where there’s no TV or any other life forms let me bring you up to speed. Green eyeshadow is in like something fierce. And thats ok, because it looks smokin’ hot, if you do it right. If you’ve been at your local grocery store lately looking for “the” perfect green eyeshadow, its not there. Theres just garbage there. Do something good for your eyes and buy this eye shadow. Not only will your eyes thank you for not subjecting it to chemical, but it will look fantastic. peyton place is a khaki-ish green. Its awesome!
Clean Slate Primer or ReCreate Primer
I consider myself to be quite good at make-up and quite knowledgeable as well. However theres one product I’ve not quite mastered. And in my defense it is only because I have not found the right one. And thats primer. So far my experience has been that they either feel tacky or sticky, or if not tacky and sticky, I can feel it suffocating my skin, and it makes my face break out. I know of the great benefits of a Primer. And now that I know tarte makes one, Im very eager to get my hands on it.

I already have this in Black which I will be reviewing tomorrow. But I see there are more colors…so I want more…Charcoal is the first one I want followed by brown. These make your eyes pop, I love it! I had another brand eye pencil that claimed you could use for inner rim. Ouch! pieces got in my eye and it hurt so bad. This is truely made for inner eye. Not just as in size but in ease of use and formula.

Clay Pot eyeliner with Brush
I gotta admit when tarte launched their clay line, this is the first thing I wanted. And still want. I believe my husband said, “those are nice colors.” And I said, “thats a REALLY sweet brush.” hahaha. Such a sucker for the brush. But still the brush itself is worth the price of admission. Black, Bronze, Indigo, and Plum. I want the bronze soooo bad. Ok I want the purple to. This product is perfect for summer. Humid, Hot, Muggy weather. Its also perfect year round for people like ME! who have oily eyelids, whos eye makeup tends to vanish. I also need an eyelid primer

I don’t know anyone who couldn’t benefit from an eyelid primer. This locks shadow in place and boosts major pigment payoff. And it is created without parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, mineral oil, petrolatum or synthetic fragrance. How many eyelid primers can you say do that?

Not only does it come in 13 amazing shades but the concept is awesome. The other day I got a duo set from Sephora that included a deluxe size of Lights, Camera, Splashes. Needless to say, Ahh..lash heaven. As soon as its gone I will be ordering the Duo from QVC. It makes my lashes feel amazing, seperated, and Hello! gorgeous, extremely long. You won’t be disappointed. They’ve also just recently launched a waterproof version Lights, Camera, Splashes! for those days when you wanna make your peepers pop! but you want to go in the pool.
tarte Mineral Powder Bronzer – Park Ave Princess – Light
I got a deluxe size of this in another duo from Sephora which I will also be reviewing soon as well. I love it. Haven’t had a whole lot of lucky honestly with Bronzers. They either don’t last, are to orange, or to brown, or chalky. This isn’t it gives a nice subtle glow. And it was error proof in my opinion. I know some people who have a hard time with bronzer application. As soon as it is gone I will be ordering the full size, and I can’t wait. The packaging is adorable. It comes in two colors. Light: Park Ave. Princess, and Hotel Heiress (deep bronze shimmer). They also just launched on Sephora a Matte Waterproof version. So grab that, and your lights, camera, splashes! and your set to hit the pool.
And last but not least.

How cute, sexy, and adorable is this?! And I love that it is refillable. Far to often palettes are made and you love them, get hooked, then the colors are gone. Then what do you do? You can either hang onto it and be sad that the colors are gone, or you can throw it away. But not with this palette. Or any of tarte’s palettes. As far as I know they are all refillable. Plus the colors are oh so yummy!
