Korres Pomegranate Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes

I got these the other day, and have been so pleased with them. They are are made my Korres, and are called Pomegranate Cleansing/Make Up Removing Wipes. They are part of the Korres Pomegranate line targeted for Oily/Combination Skin. I have been on the search for quite some time now for the “perfect” cleansing wipe. I have found it. All others I have tried fit into certain categories. They either dried my face out, broke me out, stung my face and made it so red and itchy, or just kinda did a so-so job at removing my make up. In which case the next morning, my face was yelling obscenities at me, for being so lazy and not washing my face.

This is not the case with these wipes. Face Wipes, no matter what the price are a budget friendly expense for me. Reason being, they are not the only thing I use to wash my face. So I can make a pack of wipes last quite a while. I use face wipes for 3 reasons. Running late in the morning, really late at night..to tired to stand at the sink, and 3…my most used the way, on the way home. Seriously. I keep these in my purse. Because there are a lot of time where I am on my way home at like 6:30/7pm….its hot…sticky…I’ve had make up on for the last 12 hours and my face is screaming, “please! I need to breathe!” So there are times where I don’t make it home to wash my face. I can’t handle it. I feel like if I can’t wash my face in the next 5 seconds, I’m going to freak out. As soon as I hit a stop light, and I’ll whip one of these babies out. Off comes the make up and my face says, “Ahhhh…thank you.”

Now most of the time after I’ve used such wipe on the way home, I’ll still wash with face wash, after the kids have gone to bed, before I go to bed. Just because normally I do not feel like they really clean, clean if that makes any sense. I don’t have to worry about that with these. They get my face squeaky clean. Takes all my face make up off very quickly and easily.

As far as eye make up goes, it takes about 98% of it off. I don’t buy my face wipes with the expectation of it taking off eye make up. I’ve never really found any that take it ALL off. And thats ok, I think if it were to take everything off including mascara, it may be to rough for your skin. These take off more eye make up then others I’ve used. It took off my eyelid primer, eyeshadow, and my eyeliner. Mascara it just did so so. But like I said that wasn’t a concern to me. I have an eye make up remover lotion that takes my mascara off very easily with a cotton swab so its ok.

It is a generously oversized too!!

Here are the other things I really liked about these wipes:

-Its about time that someone makes a NON-one size fits all face wipe. Go to the store. Look. They are all just a face cleansing wipe. Not all of us have normal, dry, sensitive, etc. skin. Its wonderful that a company has finally made a wipe for people with Oily/Combo Skin. (We have needs too! :))

-Oil Free…so as not to leave you with that yucky greasy residue feeling afterwards.
-Was not drying, just lightly moisturized
-Cleanses, Tones, Refreshes the skin.
-Easy, On-the-Go cleansing.
-Contains all kinds of good yummy stuff for your skin: Pomegranate extract-rich in tannins and polyphenols, and Vitamin E, a potent anti-oxidant
-They smell AMAZING!!

You won’t be disappointed with these wipes or the spectacular job they do..
I was looking just now..but I can’t find it, I thought that there was another skin type wipe that Korres makes…

Looks as if the other one is exclusive to Sephora. It is called Milk & Proteins Cleansing & Make Up Removing Wipes.
From the description it sounds is though it would fit all skin types that don’t fit in the Oily/Combo category. Including those with Sensitive skin. It also states that they.. “effortlessly eliminate eye makeup (waterproof included)” YIPEE!! Yah! Maybe this is the answer to those of you who want a “Do-It-All” Face wipe!

Korres Pomegranate Cleansing Mask

I received this the other day. And after just having had a really bad incident with sunless tanner, that left my face badly broke out, I couldn’t wait to use this.

This is Korres Pomegranate Cleansing Mask. It is formulated for Oily/Combination Skin. It has White Argil, which is a natural sebum(oil) absorbing clay. It removes impurities and deeply cleanses the skin. It will leave your complexion fresh and radiant. Pomegranate extract is rich in something called Tannins and Polyphenols. This reduces pore size and rejuvenates the skin. It also contains Zinc. Which regulates oil secretion and provides antibacterial protection, and balances oily skin. Lactic Acid, a natural AHA, gently exfoliates without irritating the skin. Revealing younger skin. Jojoba oil nourishes and hydrates, leaves the skin velvety soft

My first thoughts upon pulling this out of the box was,”Oh my what a tiny tube for $27!” I quickly got over that. For one it spreads very nicely, easily, and evenly. And two. I conserve my face masks. I bought a cheap foundation brush from the dollar store, that I reserve strictly for facial masks. Not only do I not get stuff all over my hands, but you use significantly use much less product. There by making a product such as this more practical. Normally, I would not spend $27 on a face mask, that comes with such a small amount of product. However, I firmly believe in quality. I believe you have to spend more, to actually get good quality product. And I also know that if you use it properly, you will get many, many uses out of it. I used about the size of a dime, maybe a little tad more, and I barely put a dent in the tube. This will last me quite a while, and many uses.

Upon application it smelled pleasant. Not an overbearing smell. I have used a lot facial masks. I don’t really have a preference as to whether it is unscented or scented. All I ask is that it doesn’t smell bad, and that it isn’t to strong burning my eyes and nose.
This had a light smell which was nice. It also like I said went on smoothly. It felt nice. Instructions are to apply to clean, dry skin, and leave on for 10 minutes. And then rinse off with lukewarm water. Ideal for use once a week, especially after using the coordinating Pomegranate scrub. This is the best face mask I’ve ever used.

The Results?
Spectacular!! I simply LOVE this mask. At 10 minutes, I didn’t feel that super dried out feeling that I have felt with other clay masks. I rinsed it off. My face looked great, had more clarity to it, and a slight glow as well. The next morning was even better. When I woke up, it had cleared up my sunless tanner incident. It also didn’t produce a bunch of extra oil, from being dried out, like some clay masks do to your face. It felt refreshed and balanced. It was awesome!! I love this mask, and will definitely buy it again once this is gone. This is a spectacular product, and I have no doubt that when used in conjunction with the other Korres Pomegranate line, your skin would feel and look amazing, and thank you a million times over.
