Badger Balm SPF 30

19 Jul

You could pretty much hand me an un-marked tin, and tell me that it was some form of badger balm, and I’d tell you I like it without even trying it. Badger Balm is by far one of the most coveted, used, and requested products in my house. I love all the ones I have, and that is a lot. One of my favorites is their SPF 30 for face & body. It smells delightful. I rubbed this on my little badgers, they smell yummy and stay protected in the sun. When I found out that Badger had a sunscreen I bought it sight unseen. I didn’t ask for a sample. I knew that I’d like it, and I knew that it would do everything it claimed to do, while still being safe. But don’t just take my word for it. Swing by the EWG (Environmental Working Group) and see what they have to say about this fab sunscreen!

This is what I like about it. Its smooth, creamy, blends incredibly well, not sticky, and is effective. I bought this and 2 of the SPF lip balm 15’s for my little ones. The Lip Balms are nice as well. Big Surprise right? Badger makes fantastic balms, and rockin’ lip balms, so I sure wasn’t surprised!

Stays on the skin when you sweat or play in the water (water-resistant)
• Won’t run and drip into your eyes when you sweat
• Starts working as soon as you put it on. No waiting
• Allows your skin to breathe
• Is strong and effective enough to protect you from extreme conditions
• Has no irritating ingredients

This sunscreen as well as the other Badger sunscreens are one of the top sunscreens. They currently make 3 out of the top 10 sunscreens, on EWG’s list of over 1600. Thats huge. Safe Mama also recommends it as well.
Now I am not a doctor, or scientist, I’m just a mama. Who knows that sunscreen for her babies is important. I also understand the whole nano particles and “safe sunscreen” jazz. But I am not that great at putting it into words, and explaining it myself. And no one could have said it better then Badger themselves. To get the whole low down on safe sunscreens and why some aren’t effective click here, or the image below.

This is the sunscreen and the lip balm. The sunscreen is super creamy, thick, but blends well. The lip balm goes on effortlessly, smoothly and stays put.

I love these products, and I love this brand. I love that they stay commited to so many things that are earth friendly, and that are important to their consumers. I have never met a Badger Product I didn’t like, and I would recommend any of them, to anyone. Even one I may not have tried yet.

BADGER Tinted Lip Balms

6 Jul

Ok so I love BADGER products. Seriously, Love. And I thought my lip balm world was completely content. I had 3 Badger Cocoa Butter Lip Balms, that were my all time favs, I take them everywhere. Then I met this….

BADGER……Tinted…….Lip……..Balms. Oh wow.

I could barely contain my excitement. You’re thinking…your crazy, its just a lip balm. But its not, its so utterly delightful.
First of all, its double ended. On one end you get a shimmer (Opal Shimmer), and on the other end you get a color. There
are 4 colors to choose from:

Red Jasper, Rose Tourmaline, Garnet, and Copper.

I own Garnet and I love it!

Its the same formula as there Cocoa Butter Lip Balms only with color. Super Moisturizing, Never sticky, just smoothness.

The opal shimmer was a little hard to get a picture of. For whatever my camera was not cooperating. So its not really this color, its more of a whitish color. I was just trying to be detailed.

I love this color. I would definitely buy it again, as well as the other colors to, even having not seen them yet, I know I’d like them.

From left to right….Garnet-sheer, Garnet with more intensity, and Opal shimmer.

Thats one of the things that I really liked about this product. You can wear it sheer or you can layer it thicker, almost like a glossy lipstick for more intensity.

Fantastic Product!!

Available @ BadgerBalm.com for $6.50

BADGER Baby Balm

6 Jul

Ahhh, Badger Balm. What can I say about one of my top 2 favorite companies ever? Besides the fact that they are fantastic? There’s just so many.

This balm in particular is one of the ones that I buy the most.
It is their baby balm, and I absolutely love, love, love it. My number One favorite balm is their Evolving Body Balm. Which I also use on my face, but since I am out of it….sniffle, sniffle. I’ve discovered that this is an equally good substitute.

I use it for so many different things. Mainly on the kids, but I use it to. After a bath, I put a little bit between the palms of my hands and rub it til it gets warm, then I rub it all over my babies to keep their skin soft, smooth, and healthy. I keep an extra one in the diaper bag for face and lips when out. It is especially wonderful for little cheeks. Keeps the dryness at bay. I started using it when my son was drooling all the time and his poor little chin got all red. This protected his skin from the wetness, and helped heal it.

With only 5 ingredients, all of which are Certified USDA organic, your well informed that it is not only safe, but good for you.

-Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-Beeswax
-Castor Oil
-Chamomile
-Calendula

As stated on the back of the tin it is great for adults with sensitive skin. I would highly recommend it to any adult or child that has and eczema. My children have had dry patches of it before and this works wonders. Like I said as well to, I use this on my face at night. My misbehaving, oily, acne prone skin drinks it up, heals it, and NEVER EVER breaks me out. People with oily and especially acne prone skin shouldn’t shy away from certain oils, they can be quite beneficial for your skin.

Comes in a 2oz Tin (about the size of a hockey puck) for around $10
or
A .75oz Tin that runs about $5

Available at http://www.badgerbalm.com

and SOME mom & pop type shops

Badger Balm that is.

What you haven’t?!

Well stick around here long enough and I will dazzle you all things badger.
They have balms, oils, lip care, body butters, sun care and stuff for babies, OH my! goody!

A little bit of info off their website:
“Badger products are super-safe, super-comforting blends of fresh, whole, organic, extra-virgin oils, waxes, exotic butters, herbal extracts & pure essential oils. And nothing else! Badger Balms and Oils contain no chemicals, synthetics, parabens, GMOs or any of the other dubious stuff you’ve read so much about. Just good, wholesome, blends of concentrated goodness. We have also gone Certified Organic! This is the best stuff for you and the ones you love.

Badger Balms are like your best friend – you can take them everywhere with you and they will never let you down.”

And seriously, they will not.. I have probably 12 tins around my house. They are not just something that I like, or something that I love, they are a staple in my house, and it is my favorite multi-tasking brand/product.

And I know I said I would be unbiased. HOWEVER, I have to make the following statement:

Badger Balm was the first balm, and only balm, I have ever or will ever use.

I have tons of reviews for my beloved tins that need finishing up, then I’ll post them for you all to enjoy.

Keep an eye out!

In the meantime head on over badgerbalm.com and discover all things badger. Its amazing!!
