This product is exceptionally great for people with sensitive skin. The purpose in reviewing this was for my kids. But once I read the ingredients I decided to also review it as a gentle skin cleanser as well. Which it does a very good job at. I have problematic skin. It is oily, breaks out, is sensitive. This bar not only served its purpose as an excellent mild baby cleanser, but it surpassed my expectations of a gentle, mild, soap for anyone with sensitive. Its perfect to wash my 6 year olds face as well. When she lets me that is. I also think its important to mention that not only is olive oil good for problematic skin, but honey is healing and anti-bacterial, while lavender is soothing. Its an excellent concoction for my face.

It is made nice too. Its a nice generous size. It doesn’t have melting, mushy qualities that some bars have. I love bar soaps for washing my babies. Theres 2 wild little things splish-splashin’ around in the tub, so when baths are going to be or need to be quick, I turn to the aid of a bar soap. Makes scrubbing them up quick and easy. They smelled yummy when they got out. I reviewed a sample version of this. But after using it, I plan on buying the full size. Its fantastic.

erbaviva Organic Baby Washbag

I’ll admit when I first got this sample in the mail, I wasn’t sure what it was. Beauty Mama had a bit of a beauty brain fart, and thought maybe that you throw it in the wash, when you wash the babies clothes. Not the case. This is to wash the babies 🙂 In my defense, there is nothing like this anywhere out. Its exclusive to erbaviva, and its unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I know, your saying, “excuses, excuses Beauty Mama, just read the description”. 🙂

The Organic Baby Washbag was developed as a cleansing product soft and natural enough for the newborn baby. Cleansing but not drying it was designed to maintain the necessary oils natural to skin and important for good hydration, while leaving baby clean and fresh. The Organic Baby Washbag is an unbleached muslin sachet, filled solely with herbal ingredients, exuding a delightful aroma. Contains no soap. Cleans beautifully without drying the skin. One sachet is placed in the child’s bath and gently rubbed on baby’s skin for a soft cleansing straight from nature.

Ingredients: Organic oatmeal, organic milk powder, organic lavender flowers, organic essential oils of lavender and mandarin. Filled into an unbleached cotton sachet.

Because it contains milk, its important to know that it is single use. I really enjoyed this product. And since it was in sample form, while it was a blast to use and my babies loved it, I was sad that I no longer had the scent of it lingering in my room. The smell was intoxicating, and I loved it. Theses aren’t some mass product baby product. They are sewn by hand, with love, for your little one

I really love all the erbaviva products I have tried. This is definitely one of my favorites. I love that it is all natural, smells divine, and most importantly was extremely child friendly. My 3 year old loved washing herself with it, while I enjoyed letting her, and not fretting about her using half a bottle of wash or letting a soap bar melt in the bath. Although it was pretty funny, she was wondering why I allowed her to use a bean bag in the bath. 🙂 I love that its USDA Organic, and the high standards that erbaviva has for their products. They also are not afraid of their labels. They put them right out in the open, because theres nothing to hide. They encourage you to. Not only do they make great products, they have the simplest, yet most adorable packaging. I love it. They also have amazing gift sets on their site. You couldn’t go wrong with an erbaviva gift set.

These sachets are fantastic. And they are a really great product to use on a newborn. super mild, non irritating, and soothing.
Its also great for adults with sensitive skin. Oatmeal and Lavender are very soothing. I would definitely take a bath with one of these, but erbaviva makes mommy bath products too so… 🙂

BADGER Baby Balm

Ahhh, Badger Balm. What can I say about one of my top 2 favorite companies ever? Besides the fact that they are fantastic? There’s just so many.

This balm in particular is one of the ones that I buy the most.
It is their baby balm, and I absolutely love, love, love it. My number One favorite balm is their Evolving Body Balm. Which I also use on my face, but since I am out of it….sniffle, sniffle. I’ve discovered that this is an equally good substitute.

I use it for so many different things. Mainly on the kids, but I use it to. After a bath, I put a little bit between the palms of my hands and rub it til it gets warm, then I rub it all over my babies to keep their skin soft, smooth, and healthy. I keep an extra one in the diaper bag for face and lips when out. It is especially wonderful for little cheeks. Keeps the dryness at bay. I started using it when my son was drooling all the time and his poor little chin got all red. This protected his skin from the wetness, and helped heal it.

With only 5 ingredients, all of which are Certified USDA organic, your well informed that it is not only safe, but good for you.

As stated on the back of the tin it is great for adults with sensitive skin. I would highly recommend it to any adult or child that has and eczema. My children have had dry patches of it before and this works wonders. Like I said as well to, I use this on my face at night. My misbehaving, oily, acne prone skin drinks it up, heals it, and NEVER EVER breaks me out. People with oily and especially acne prone skin shouldn’t shy away from certain oils, they can be quite beneficial for your skin.

Company History

Erbaviva’s meaning—“herbs that are alive”—manifests the passion of first-time parents who wanted more for their newborn baby than skincare products rife with harmful chemicals, artificial fragrances, additives and dyes. Today, Erbaviva’s growing collection of organic skincare, bath and body and aromatherapy products are coveted nationally and internationally by parents and mommies-to-be through upscale spas, boutiques and selected department stores in more than 20 countries.
Inspired by the birth of their first son, owners Robin Brown and Anna Cirronis began in 1996 out of their Topanga, California home by creating a soap-less, herbal means of washing their newborn. “Baby Washbag,” which also helped adults with sensitive or problem skin, led to the development of an extra mild baby soap and organic baby oil. With the success of their initial baby line, Erbaviva incorporated a natural pregnancy line in 1997 consisting of Stretch Mark Oil, Back Rub Oil, Mommy-To-Be Milk Bath, and Baby Blues Oil (for postpartum depression). Two years later, Erbaviva introduced 65 aromatherapy products in sprays, synergies, bath essences and essential oils.

Robin and Anna’s Growing Company and Family

As Erbaviva grew, so did Robin and Anna’s family. In addition to sons Luca, now 14, and Elias, ten, they adopted a baby daughter, Leilah, from Nepal, who today is a happy, healthy three-year-old. With a growing family came a new dedication to the company. Robin, an accomplished Hollywood camera operator whose film work includes Fargo, Shawshank Redemption and Dead Man Walking, was raised in England by socially conscious parents. Anna, a makeup-artist and certified aromatherapist originally from Italy, has had a lifelong passion for the environment.

Dubbed “Mr. & Mrs. Organic” by Sprig.com, Robin and Anna decided to dedicate their careers to sustainable products and business practices.

In June of 2000, Erbaviva moved from its home-based operation to a warehouse and office in San Fernando Valley. Fall of 2004 saw 16 new products added to the bath and body skincare line, including body wash, lotion, room and body sprays, organic deodorant, balance bath salt and oil, and the always-popular stretch mark cream.

Always Been Organic, But Now It’s Official… Erbaviva Is Now USDA Certified Organic!

On January 1, 2007, following a rigorous application and approval process of ingredients, manufacturing and packaging, Erbaviva received the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) certification under the National Organic Program, declaring its products to be genuinely organic, pure and natural.

“While our company has been producing true organic products since our inception more than a decade ago, we are pleased to be one of the few skincare companies that now has the official certification of organic purity from the U.S. government,” said Robin Brown.

Organic Mission: Nature to Nurture
